Saying “Thank you” touches upon the purpose of our lives. Being grateful reveals our nature as persons who are meant to live in community with another because saying “Thank you” requires someone to say thank you too. You also need a gift to be given as well as receiving this gift. It requires a dynamic relationship. We are created to give thanks to God for everything He has given, is giving and will continue to give. It is the proper response of creation toward its Creator.
At the next SEMF meeting, May 16th, we will express our gratitude to God for two faithful servants of the Christian community in Saskatoon, Gil & Alison Klassen. For almost 30 years they have testified about the Christian faith and the love and hope it brings through their Youth for Christ ministry and their life in general. They have been Christ’s hands and feet here in Saskatoon and we will miss them as they move into future ministry. During the meeting, they will share some of the things they have learned throughout their ministry here.
This meeting we also welcome SEYWA (Saskatoon Evangelical Youth Workers Association) to join us and we hope for great interaction and fellowship.
