FLYING IN FORMATION

Dear Pastors and Ministry Leaders,

Each year SEMF partners with World Vision Canada in Saskatoon as they present their annual Church Leaders’ Forum.  These forums are provided by World Vision to serve local churches and ministries by providing outstanding Canadian ministry leader training opportunities.  SEMF pre-empts our regularly scheduled 3rd Tuesday monthly meeting to promote the greatest possible attendance for the World Vision Forum.  This year’s Church Leaders’ Forum will be Friday, June 9, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church.  A complimentary Lunch and Learn is also available from 12:45 – 1:45 p.m.  You must register at http://churchleaderforums.ca/locations/saskatoon/ to attend this meeting.  If you have already pre-paid your SEMF lunches for the year in advance, you can request a $10 refund from SEMF.

The results of our SEMF Executive election will be announced at this meeting.

We also want to remind you to register as soon as possible for the Pastors’ and Ministry Leaders’ Prayer Summit coming up in January of 2018.

We hope to see you on June 9!

Giving Thanks!

Saying “Thank you” touches upon the purpose of our lives. Being grateful reveals our nature as persons who are meant to live in community with another because saying “Thank you” requires someone to say thank you too. You also need a gift to be given as well as receiving this gift. It requires a dynamic relationship. We are created to give thanks to God for everything He has given, is giving and will continue to give. It is the proper response of creation toward its Creator.

At the next SEMF meeting, May 16th, we will express our gratitude to God for two faithful servants of the Christian community in Saskatoon, Gil & Alison Klassen. For almost 30 years they have testified about the Christian faith and the love and hope it brings through their Youth for Christ ministry and their life in general. They have been Christ’s hands and feet here in Saskatoon and we will miss them as they move into future ministry. During the meeting, they will  share some of the things they have learned throughout their ministry here.

This meeting we also welcome SEYWA (Saskatoon Evangelical Youth Workers Association) to join us and we hope for great interaction and fellowship.
